Ascenta's financing partners come from the top tier of biotech venture companies, who are among the most established and well funded in their fields. Ascenta has had three rounds of financing to date. A Series A financing was completed in December 2003 and raised $5.5 million from Domain, Sofinnova and Enterprise. A Series B financing of $30 million was completed in November 2004 and included the existing investors along with Scale Venture Partners and US Venture Partners. A Series C financing of $52 million was completed in March 2007 and included the existing investors along with Perseus, LLC and Pac-Link.
